Preparing for a career where accuracy is the job.

I’m an accounting student at California State University, Stanislaus, building practical skill in taxation, auditing, and financial reporting. I’ve passed Part 1 of the IRS Enrolled Agent exam, I’m studying for Part 2, and I’m working toward CPA licensure.

About

Before I studied accounting, I managed the day-to-day of a retail business.

As manager of a liquor store in Martinez, I handled daily operations, inventory, the register, vendor relationships, and the sales and expense records behind them. I also supervised staff and looked after customers. That job gave me an early, practical view of how a business depends on records that are complete and correct.

Today I work at Amazon in Tracy while I finish my degree. Alongside fulfillment work, I’m training toward a Learning Ambassador role, helping new employees learn job procedures, expectations, and safety practices.

At CSU Stanislaus I’ve completed Intermediate Accounting I and II, Cost Accounting, and Auditing, and this term I’m taking Advanced Accounting and Income Tax Accounting. Tax and audit are the areas I want to build a career in.

I’m also working through the IRS Special Enrollment Examination. I’ve passed Part 1 and I’m studying for Part 2. My longer-term goal is CPA licensure, and I’m looking for a team where I can do real work, learn from experienced professionals, and earn the experience that path requires.
